How To Install Delta Emulator On iOS (iPhone/iPad)?
Delta Emulator is not available on iTunes & App Store. So, we will have to rely on the workaround to get it on our devices. There are two ways to install Delta Emulator on your iOS device. You DO NOT need to jailbreak your device. We have outlined both methods here and you can pick the one that suits you the best:
- Delta Emulator using IPA
- Delta Emulator using Tutu Helper
Delta Emulator is currently available on the following iOS versions:
- iOS 8
- iOS 9
- iOS 10
It is available on certain iOS 7 versions and devices as well but there is no guarantee.
Installation Method 1: Delta Emulator Using IPA File:
Installing Delta Emulator on the iOS devices using IPA is a little tricky but not really difficult. We have laid out the step by step installation guide to make sure the process is as easy for you as possible. Here are the steps:
- First of all, download the Cydia Impactor on your computer from the following link: http://www.cydiaimpactor.com/ Make sure that you download the version designed for your OS.
- Find the file you just downloaded on your hard disk drive and double click it; this will extract the Cydia Impactor content and install it on your computer
- The next thing you need to do is get the IPA file for Delta Emulator. Many websites host this file and you can find them with a simple Google search. But, download the file only from the site you feel is trustworthy.
- You will now need to make sure that your computer has the latest version of iTunes. Here is how you can check it:
- Launch iTunes on the computer and select Help menu
- Select ‘Check for Updates’
- If any update is available, simply follow the onscreen instructions to update iTunes. If no update is available it will say that iTunes is up to date
- Now you will need to connect your iOS device to your computer using a USB cable
- Launch Cydia Impactor that you extracted in Step 2 and let it detect the iOS device
- Go to the Cydia Impactor ‘Menu’ and select you iOS device that you connected with the computer on which you need to install Delta Emulator
- Now open the folder in which you downloaded Delta emulator IPA file. Drag the file and drop it on the Impactor screen
- When prompted, sign in with your Apple login credentials (password and username)
- Just keep clicking through the confirmations until the installation process starts
The installation will get completed in about a minute (or even less). Once you have installed the Delta Emulator and you can see its icon on your iOS home screen, the next thing you need to do is download the ROMs and play the retro games.
But, we will learn how to install ROMs on Delta later; before that we will see how you can install Delta Emulator using Tutu Helper.
Installation Method 2: Delta Emulator using Tutu Helper:
Method 1 is quite effective but many may find it a bit complicated. Not only do you need to install Cydia Impactor, you also have to download the IPA and then connect the device to the computer. If you are wondering whether there is something more straightforward, we have this installation method for you.
Here is how you can get Delta Emulator on iOS without PC, without Jailbreak, and without Cydia Impactor:
- Launch the Safari browser on your iOS device and access the following link http://bit.ly/2jbupMy [use only Safari as it is the native browser and works best with such installations]
- Allow the page to load completely (which may take a few seconds)
- You will see the ‘Download’ button in Green on the top right. You need to press this button
- Now you will see a popup that reads ‘tutuapp.com would like to install “Delta”; you simply need to tap the ‘Install’ button here
- You can now return to the home screen of the device where you will see the dimmed out Delta icon. This means that installation is still underway. Wait for a minute or so for the installation to complete and for the icon to get undimmed.
- You cannot use the application yet as it has been installed from a third party source. You will see the error ‘Untrusted Enterprise Developer’ while trying to run it. Fix this issue by following these below steps:
- Go to Settings on the iOS device
- Select Profiles & Device Management
- Tap the Delta Emulator profile and confirm on the subsequent prompts to Trust the application
This is all! Simply go back to the home screen and tap the Delta Emulator icon to launch the application. Now we will learn how to download Delta ROMs.
